Avenged Sevenfold have released the official video for their single “Carry On,” which is featured in the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

In the video, the band is playing in front of a crowd, but they aren't quite themselves. Instead, they're depicted as game characters, as are the spectators. It starts with a conversation between the guys in the band, then moves to a stage, where they rock out in front of fans. Just like the Call of Duty series, the artwork is fantastic, and the premise of the video fits what the song was written for.

The band is currently working on new music and have been in the studio since August. M. Shadows of the band has this to say about their upcoming album:

I try not to say too much about the album because you know how the Internet world is, so I'll just say this: we have a direction, we're sticking to that direction, and we feel really very happy writing in these terms that we've laid out for ourselves. The album is coming along very nicely, we're excited to get in the studio, we have about six songs that I'm really happy with right now, and we're continuing to write every single day.

You can expect to see that album sometime in June or July of 2013.

Enjoy the video for “Carry On,” but be warned that some strong language is used.
