It’s been 2010 since Avenged Sevenfold released an album, but the Call of Duty Series has been keeping the band busy. Last year they released “Not Ready to Die” as part of a game expansion pack, and now they’re unleashing “Carry On” for Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

The game will be released on November 13th, but the song is available now for download. It has the unmistakable flavor of A7X and heavy sound you’ve come to expect from the band, which ties in perfectly with the game. Zacky Vengeance, guitarist for the band, said they don’t like to sit still for too long:

We're not the kind of people to just take a break and say everything's going good, you know, let's rest on our laurels, act like rock stars -- we take it very seriously and we certainly aren't just celebrating and doing a victory lap. We're focused on making our fans happy, keeping each other happy, so we can do this forever.

It’s expected that the band will enter the studio sometime before the end of the year to start recording their next album, but there’s no word as to whether or not that’s actually happening or when we may expect another record.
