If you've ever had a conversation with a vegetarian or a vegan and the topic of food came up, there's a good chance they were disgusted by what you said. While you might get excited about making brownies stuffed full of bacon, those who don't eat meat might find that purely vomit-inducing. It's not just your friends and co-workers that you have to worry about judging you, there's an Indian textbook that really goes after meat eaters, with some pretty awful claims about just how bad we are.

The book is called “New Healthway,” and its target audience is 11-to-12-year-old students.

So just how bad is the meat eating population? Here's what the book has to say about non-vegetarians:

They easily cheat, tell lies, they forget promises, they are dishonest and tell bad words, steal, fight and turn to violence and sex crimes.

Well there you go. When you do something wrong, all you have to do is blame the chicken you ate last night or lament that the juicy steak you had was clearly a bad move. Now, when my boss catches me in a lie or hears me swearing like a sailor, I have a scapegoat! (Literally)

The book has since been pulled from shelves, but its legacy will live on. Do you eat meat?
