Archer County Fire Burns 1,400 + Acres

The Texas A&M Forest Service has called aircraft into action to help contain a major fire in Archer County. KAUZ News Channel 6 reports that a hot branding iron is to blame for the blaze that has already burned over 1,400 acres south of Lake Kickapoo.  Fire crews have the blaze around 30 percent contained as of 4 pm Friday.
