So I guess Corey Taylor is in fact NOT going to be the new singer for Velvet Revolver. We've speculated for months as to who would replace the legendary addict Scott Weiland in VR and at one time it seemed the announcement that Taylor was taking over duties was imminent. Guess not...here's what Slash told Voterix.com:

All we were doing was just rehearsing with him and trying him out -- auditioning him . . . he did come in and do all that. It just didn't seem to fit right to me. And he's great, and I love Corey, but it didn't seem like the answer to the Velvet Revolver problem.

Well then allow me to speculate. I'm honestly not sure if there's a really good fit for the gig out there and the more I think about it, I can't see anyone else but Weiland out front for that band. Maybe they're holding off until he takes a break from Stone Temple Pilots and then maybe invite him back into the band. We'll see what happens but it looks like this saga will continue. Enjoy some footage of Corey Taylor and Slash doing G n' R's classic "It's So Easy".
