2017 may be winding down, but Alice in Chains are getting things in order to hit the ground running in 2018. The band just revealed their first major North American tour of the year, starting in late April and running through mid-May.

The trek launches April 28 at the House of Blues in Boston, with shows continuing through May 19, concluding at Philadelphia's annual WMMR BBQ festival. The band is a popular one this festival season and a number of the stops on the run are festival dates, including appearances at Carolina Rebellion, Northern Invasion and Rock on the Range.

You can see the full itinerary below and ticketing info for each of the dates can be found at this location. And while this initial trek is primarily based in the eastern portion of the U.S. and Canada, you can expect the band to remain quite busy hitting other regions later in the year. The group was said to be working on their next studio album earlier this year, so a 2018 release is likely.

Back in June, the band revealed that Nick Raskulinecz would be producing the album, and bassist Mike Inez added that they intended to record in their home base of Seattle, as opposed to heading to Los Angeles, where they recorded their two previous releases. Stay tuned as more news about their next disc and additional touring is revealed.
