Cookie Fries Among State Fair of Texas 2016 Big Tex Choice Awards Finalists [PHOTOS]

Fire up the deep fryers and those taste buds. Another round of unique food items are up this year for the Big Tex Choice awards.

The State Fair of Texas is known for its delicious food every year. This year is once again dominated by the fried food, with one option actually looking healthy for you.

You can actually try all of these food items yourself at the Big Tex Choice Awards Judging / Tasting on August 28 at 2:00 PM. Tickets are $100 and that includes all of the food listed. Your Big Tex Choice Awards ticket will also get you one admission ticket to the State Fair, a fair-branded baseball cap, and a commemorative Big Tex refillable cup. The money raised will go to the State Fair Youth Scholarship fund.
